Currently we have MacroView DMF version 3.15 installed on our client machines and servers. We want to upgrade to the latest version without disrupting the end users. Is the server software backwards compatible?
If so, this would allow us to roll out the client software in phases on the end user's machine. Also does the latest version support thin clients?

The server should always be upgraded prior to any of the workstations. You should find that the older DMF client will continue to work with the new Server web service.
Note: The above is not a tested nor supported scenario and we recommend that you carry out your own testing prior to deployment.
With respect to thin clients are you referring to Citrix / Terminal services? If so then there are no known issues with respect to Windows 2008 hosted servers.
