WISDOM Showcase Solution
for Proposals
Almost all commercial organizations need to
prepare sales proposals and submissions. The
WISDOM Showcase Solution for
Proposals illustrates how MacroView’s WISDOM Solutions approach can be used
to create a business-user-friendly system for preparing proposal
documentation and for tracking associated workflows. The Showcase Solution
is an ideal starting point for developing a custom proposal solution that
meets the specific requirements of your organization.
With the Showcase Solution the first step in preparing a new sales proposal
is the creation of a new SharePoint site by using a specially configured
Proposal Site Template. The Proposal Manager uses Windows SharePoint
Services to assign a Writer and a Reviewer (or a panel of Reviewers) to each
Section of the Proposal. Writers and Reviewers receive automatically
generated email messages that alerts them to the section or sections for
which they are responsible. Completed Proposal documents are automatically
stored in SharePoint document libraries.
Proposal Writers can use WISDOM ClauseBank to retrieve and insert any
frequently used ‘boiler-plate’ text (such as standardized descriptions of
products or CVs for staff proposed to be involved in the Job) and graphics
(such as corporate logos). Thanks to the Automatic Expiry Alert facility of
WISDOM ClauseBank, Writers can be confident that any material sourced from
it is up-to-date.
The Showcase Solution also demonstrates how WISDOM Precedent can be used to
automate the assembly of proposal documents, handling variable text,
optional text and retrieval from central databases.
The Showcase Solution makes it easy for the Proposal Manager to know the
stage that has been reached in drafting and review of all Sections of the
Proposal, and ultimately of the completed Proposal document. Business users
are able to configure the workflows around Proposal drafting, review and
approval by making simple List entries in the Proposal collaboration site.
